The unknown
What came first, the chicken or the egg? There is an obvious logical explanation for both. Without one you can't have the other right? How far away is space? How big is a germ? How is our planet round and flat at the same time? How big a role does personality play in child rearing? This is my brain. This is what it does on any given day. I try to avoid open-ended questions. But what do you do when your child is an open-ended question? When the only one who can truly fit all the pieces together is you? When all the random puzzle pieces have to come together somehow to create a whole? When one piece by itself is alarming but as a whole, there is no 'fix'. Somehow trapped inside this little body, is an intelligent, sweet, caring, thoughtful soul who only wants a fair chance. Who wants his/her identity, not the norm. Somewhere underneath all the pieces is the source, the source of frustration, the source of strength, the answer to why. Somewhere is the answer.

This is a good post. Totally rings true over here too. One of the most rewarding parts of being a parent and one of the most frustrating.
